The amethyst geode slice at the top of this gemstone column inspired the color combination I sought when collecting stones for the rest of the piece. I set the geode in 18k gold prongs so the entirety of this amazing stone is revealed. Below is a golden rutilated quartz bezel set in argentium sterling silver (tarnish resistant) with fringe of ethiopian opals on 14k gold headpins. Next is a faceted white topaz in silver and finally and cluster of lilac amethyst faceted briolettes wrapped in 14k gold. The beaded necklace supporting the pendant is composed of lilac scorolite and champagne citrine with a handmade clasp of sterling silver and an extender chain accented with more lilac amethyst. The necklace adjusts from 16 to 18 inches with a drop of 3 1/2 inches.
