All silver, all soft pastel gemstones. I wove a large pink amethyst, smooth prehnite and aquamarine and small faceted pink sapphires with argentium sterling silver wire in my "gem weave" technique. The silver chain adjusts from 16 to 18 inches with handmade clasp.
Perfect sky blue faceted topaz petals create a sweet flower. I wove them with argentium sterling silver wire and added a cluster of tiny white freshwater pearls at the center. This flower measure 5/8 of an inch in diameter and suspends from an argentium sterling silver chain that is adjustable from 16 to 18 inches.
Argentium sterling silver is a silver alloy where most of the copper has been replaced by germanium which lends greatly enhanced tarnish resistance over standard sterling. It is .935 silver--more pure silver than .925 sterling. In addition, argentium sterling is produced using only recycled silver.
When your jewelry arrives **************************** It will arrive carefully presented in a jewelry pouch I sewed myself (!) which is great for gift giving or storing your jewelry at home.
I haven't created one of my gem weave pendants in a bit. This one features rich jewel tone colors and mixed metals. I wove beer quartz, amethyst, garnet and rhodolite garnet with gold fill wire and secured it to a chain of oxidized sterling silver for dramatic contrast. I've also created this stone combination with a gold fill chain.
I wanted to create a fanciful meadow of stones and metal. These boulder opals seemed perfectly suited as stones in my meadow scene and gave the opportunity for color play. I framed them in meadow grass with blades of silver--interspersed with flowers of amethyst, brown tourmaline, tanzanite. Between the boulder opals are rich cascades of gemstone rondelles on 18k gold headpins--pink sapphire, tourmaline, tanzanite and spessartite garnet.
The silver chain adjusts from 17 to 19 inches. The meadow focal itself measures 3 1/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall at the highest point.
Absolutely, positively one-of-a-kind--crafted with my own two hands in my home studio.
This lovely drop of larimar weighs over 27 carats. I've wrapped it in meticulously coiled gold fill wire and wrapped one of my signature "knots". London blue topaz and freshwater pearls are woven through the coils. The necklace adjusts from 16 to 18 inches from a 14/20 gold fill chain. The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches long and 3/4 of an inch at the widest point.
