This quartz has gorgeous golden needles primarily in the upper portion of the softly rounded rectangular stone. The needles are somewhat coppery in color, but primarily appear golden. I set it simply in argentium sterling silver and added a fringe of stones in pinks to golden yellows. Each gemstone bead is wrapped and mounted with an argentium silver headpin which allows the beads to move gently. The gemstone beads used are pink sapphire, pink, yellow and brown tourmaline and champagne citrine. The necklace adjusts from 16 to 18 inches.
About Argentium Silver
Argentium sterling silver is a silver alloy where most of the copper has been replaced by germanium which lends greatly enhanced tarnish resistance over standard sterling. It is .935 silver--more pure silver than .925 sterling. In addition, argentium sterling is produced using only recycled silver.
